Our story
Built around two distinct but complementary needs.
- 01Strategic business development for law firms
- 02Litigation PR
9years in the industry
The legal industry has its own distinct dynamics, where reputation, relationships and an understanding of the legal ecosystem play a critical role. Yet, specialised expertise in public relations and business development tailored to the needs of law firms was limited.
The gap became apparent while working with a leading law firm in India. It was clear that effective communication and business development in the legal sector required more than conventional PR and marketing capabilities. They demanded a deeper understanding of the legal profession, its people, practices and business priorities.
A similar need existed in the area of litigation communications. In high-stakes disputes, reputation is often among the first casualties. Navigating these situations requires more than media management; it calls for an understanding of the dispute itself, the court process, the parties involved and how the matter is likely to evolve. Only then can communication be aligned with the broader objective of protecting reputation.
These insights led to the creation of Commwiser, a specialised firm built around two distinct but complementary needs: strategic business development for law firms and litigation PR. We set out to bring together legal-sector understanding, strategic thinking and communications expertise to help law firms build their practices and help individuals and organisations navigate complex, reputation-sensitive disputes.
The idea was born from an unexpected professional turn. The legal industry was not a planned destination, but what began as a chance entry into the sector evolved into a deep professional commitment spanning more than 14 years. What started with recognising an unmet need has grown into a specialised practice shaped by the evolving demands of the legal ecosystem.
Today, that founding insight continues to guide Commwiser: bringing together legal understanding and strategic communication to address challenges that conventional PR and business development approaches may not fully appreciate.
